Reigna Frio


Heavy turpentine in the studio today. It drafts up into the house too. I should use mineral spirits instead.


Here is my latest portrait, of my sister, the ice queen so she's affectionately called.

I'm not sure about the ice queen title or refference. I don't see it in your painting though. Troubled or possible distracted or even defeated or on a lighter side just bored. But ice queen seems to imply cold hard and domineering... Perhaps a little in your face at that. I don't see that here myself. If your sister is an Ice Queen, maybe you can get her to growl a bit the next time you paint her. ;-)
