Satsuma, Satsumas and Bending Gourd

More Affordable Oils - Paintings of produce fresh from the Ashland Food Coop. The Satsumas are just amazing. They're sweet and mandarin flavored, and they have NO SEEDS! You can just gobble them up. The skins peel off with ease. Track them down if you don't happen to have an amazing food store in your area.
I've been making a really yummy salad dressing with them.
Juice 2 or 3,
add olive oil,
fresh garlic (a little bit),
a tiny bit of dijon,
salt,
chile powder,
cumin,
whip up in the food processor and toss over salad.
I like it with avocados and cilantro, greens and maybe a few chickpeas, or black beans. Some sunflower seeds. Yum. I'm hungry.
